Description

The primeval forest Sababurg contains very old trees. This time you can see a simple capture of an old oak with a hole in it. I ask my brother Bert to take place in it, showing the size of this tree. So he enters this tree and he poses for me with a pipe in his mouth, while I shoot this picture. Old trees make me think of wisdom. Centuries have passed by while this tree grew old. Wisdom can grow when people grow older, but it's not the aging process that automatically results in wisdom. What ingredients would be necessary to increase wisdom? This is such a magical shot! An incredible photo Jan-Carel! I'm sure it would make a wonderful cover on a book, or in a story...it just looks amazing! Very creative and clever of both of you and I'm so glad the tree didn't decide to trap him in there and eat him up! :-) Bravo!! I love this...VOTE

Wisdom? We need to beware of becoming wise in our own eyes, for then we really show how little we know. The tree shows it's strength and tenacity, your brother shows his love for you, and the photo shows your talent and love for your brother. Many HUGS!!!!

It's amazing what a brother will do just because you ask. I like this ol' tree and so would a Hollywood director. He might even hire Bert!

A couple of key ingredients to aquire wisdom is patience and an open mind, this allows quiet focusing on a wide variety of topics. Don't be so quick to judge, you might just learn something... Ok, now about this image, first off, you have a brave brother to go inside this old tree, it could have been full of wasps or yellowjackets?? This tree could really tell some stories as I imagine it's rather old!!! Full of personality!!!!!! love it JC!!!!!!! V

That tree is really ancient to have a hole that size. A wonderful giant covered in a lovely mossy blanket. Wonderful shot.

Nice place to smoke and meditate too ! I'm sorry to haven't the time to comment all the shots I've missed in your gallery my friend.
