Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

This is such a magical shot! An incredible photo Jan-Carel! I'm sure it would make a wonderful cover on a book, or in a story...it just looks amazing! Very creative and clever of both of you and I'm so glad the tree didn't decide to trap him in there and eat him up! :-) Bravo!! I love this...VOTE

Wisdom? We need to beware of becoming wise in our own eyes, for then we really show how little we know. The tree shows it's strength and tenacity, your brother shows his love for you, and the photo shows your talent and love for your brother. Many HUGS!!!!

It's amazing what a brother will do just because you ask. I like this ol' tree and so would a Hollywood director. He might even hire Bert!

A couple of key ingredients to aquire wisdom is patience and an open mind, this allows quiet focusing on a wide variety of topics. Don't be so quick to judge, you might just learn something... Ok, now about this image, first off, you have a brave brother to go inside this old tree, it could have been full of wasps or yellowjackets?? This tree could really tell some stories as I imagine it's rather old!!! Full of personality!!!!!! love it JC!!!!!!! V

That tree is really ancient to have a hole that size. A wonderful giant covered in a lovely mossy blanket. Wonderful shot.

Nice place to smoke and meditate too ! I'm sorry to haven't the time to comment all the shots I've missed in your gallery my friend. But I love them, I like to feel in your shots, the same Love and respect for the persons and for the Nature that Giancarlo and I feel too. It's touching. What a tree, I'm impressed ! Beautiful. V
