Description
I found 12 morel mushrooms today but only took 8. I just couldn't sleep at night if I helped wipe out such an important tasty treat. But you can see by the holes in the stems that I had to fight the snails for them so I earned them.
Alas I didn't have my camera with me and I found such a lovely patch of wild columbine.

are these good to eat? you cook them with onions and garlic and cheese [and red peppers]?

I had decided I was NOT going mushroom hunting this year but how can I resist after seeing your photo? Now I'm going to have to brave the ticks and hit the woods. [g] Jocko, Morels are fantastic battered and deep fried.

WOW, I really love morels!!! I'll never forget the Easter sunday I went out in my front yard a found 87 morels!!! It was a most memorable moment. Usually you have to hike out in the woods for such a treat!! It was an Easter meal I'll never forget!!!!! thanks for reminding me... ;-)

This image brings back memories. My uncle used to bring back buckets full of these and we would have a big mushroom feast. It's been years since I've been home for that though. Thanks for the memories. and nice capture.
