Description

This is a picture of my very first sunrise on a beach. Taken at Herring Point, Delaware with a 35 mm Cannon Sure Shot. As I was the sun illuminate the sky, those moments right before the sun makes it's appearance, I wished I could paint it as I saw it. I knew at that moment that if I did this is exactly how I would do it. Not filling the canvas with color. But letting the canvas actentuate and frame the scene instead. I was using this pic as a background for my girlfriend, trying desperately to make her transparent over this scene. I accidently hit the smudge tool and discovered that I could make that sky exactly how it was in my minds eye. I do hope that all who come here enjoy this sunrise as much as I do. ~ ~ Have a very blessed week!~ ~

My friends and I would go to the beach (or is that the shore.. heheheh) and have a barbecue. Then we would crawl into our sleeping bags, listen to the surf sing us to sleep and awaken to a glorious sunrise. Thanks for bringing back a long forgotten memory. Hugs from Dave :^)
