Description

this lady stays at this bus stop nearly 24 hours a day. only during the most severe weather does she leave for shelter. she is a very nice old lady and does not pan handle. people do give her money and she gets a social security check each month. she has been offered a free place to live and she refuses. she buys her cigarettes and coffee at the store behind her. thanks for viewing and comments Cannon Rebel xt/ 70-300 lenses from a distance of 500 ft

Fantastic photography with a sad background but it looks that the old lady is happy with herself and that makes your posting wonderful! I love the atmosphere here! Bravo!!! ***

I guess she don't mind the bugs and that hard bench to sleep on that she chooses to stay there. I suppose the bus don't stop to pick her up anymore either. Excellent shot Richard......

First the comment on the woman...she seems, both by your description and her clean clothes, to be doing alright. There are many "Homeless" people that are so by choice, they simply drop out of the system. As long as she is healthy and happy, and no one is hassling her. Now about the sign...$3.20 for Premium!!!!! AAGGGGHHH!!!! ; ) Great docu-photo Richard!!

Here it's 1 dollar 65 cents a litre for diesel. Three times your prices! A photo like this makes one happy with one's own life. This lady looks content with hers too but I do feel sorry for her.

Richard, Thank you for sharing. On the other hand, think of all of the nice people the lady meets and has bits of conversation with, If we could only do more for so many others, and those who can - won't!!! How sad!! A big HUG for you today!!!

Everything is relative, this is an excellent glimpse of who and what we are! Around here that would be cheap gas (now) and the humanity priceless!

Love your vignettes of life across the Pond. Great characters and eccentricity are something the Brits understand.
