Description

Not quite the most interesting landscape here, but these are the remnants of the old separation-line between West-Germany and East-Germany, 2.5 years after the fall of the wall in Berlin (1989), at the location where the Weser river (actually it's called the Werra here) passes the former border. Water complies to the laws of physics, political borders do not influence the way of this water at all. Quite an appropriate picture for Dutch Liberation Day 2006! No totalitarian regimes like that of East-Germany again, please! Have a good day, J.C.!

Lovely complimentary colors in the grass over there and the nearer earth. Interesting to see the old barrier, and how the river knows better than to pay any attention to the flighty foibles of humans. Nice shot!

Nature has a way of obliterating the microscopic efforts of man and it seems she wasted little time here :-) Very well done indeed.
