Description
This is a Solar Ring that I captured earlier today while working in the backyard. I used a little saturation to bring out the sun's edge & corona. With the point of the roof blocking out the sun, the ring shows up alot better!

Great, you captured this halo very well! Love to spot all those optical phenomenons, it's great to see all those colors (or colorless) effects! Gorgeous work!

Cool stuff Rick!!! This is a 22 radius halo they are visible all over the world and throughout the year. Look out for them whenever the sky is wisped or hazed with thin cirrus clouds. These clouds are cold and contain ice crystals in even the hottest climates. More info @ www.atoptics.co.uk
