Description

Sunderland Point - UK This was shot at Sunderland Point - on the north west coast and yes this is in the UK. Sunderland apparently means "Separated Land" and twice a day this area is cut off from the mainland by high tides. This is the east side of the point at low tide - the water to the left is the estuary to the River Lune. A tip for digital shooters - even in bright sunlight switch your white balance to cloudy and take a few shots - you may well be pleasantly surprised at the results. And no I didnt use a polarizer - this is two wide angle shots joined to one image. A tip for visitors to the area.Don't park your car here and leave it with the tide coming in - and be careful where you walk - mud and quicksand make some parts of this area dangerous. Eddie
