Great image Gary. I have a few crits as usual:-) The lightning looks too solid & needs to have some opaqueness to it, perhaps also narrowing the main arc will help. The twister itself is too solid & needs to have a depth to it that resembles swirling wind. At the base of the twister there should also be some dust cloud as small particles would be disturbed, blown about etc. However what you have produced is a great attempt & I would love to see this reworked & polished. You may eve be able to do this in post so you wouldnt have to worry about re-rendering. I also noticed the hard black/white line in the clouds?! But your a man after my own ideals if you can pull this off :-))

Yes a few minor niggles, but really stunning and explosive scene.

IMHO I would have left the twister out Gary....but that is one wild atmos man!!...Excellent blend of dark & light!!.

As I can see, this image is 90% atmospherics and 10% terrain. If I had the where-with-all of MJ, I would have blurred the edges of the twister; and, would have set the lightning down low and much further back into the distant clouds near the horizon. As is, this is quite an accomplishment; and, a very dramatic scene.
