Actually, for a first post, this is very nice! I love the lighting and the pose, and her expression is wonderful! Some constructive criticism if you don't mind: You can see where her right hand and arm collide with the sofa. You can either move the girl or the sofa, or you can use a program like the GIMP or Photoshop to paint over the collision (commonly called "postwork" because you are painting in things after the render is over). Also, I like to have at least one light cast shadows. The play of light and shadow really can make things pop off the page. Very good render, though! Keep going!
