Description

UF4 Same formulas and colorings as the previous version. I just kinda like this overall design and this color scheme maybe better than the first one. I did some layering in PS to make the texturing a bit less harsh as I got a good piece of critique on the last version about it - thanks, Mindy, I hope this is a little better. I'm just trying for a more "2d" vibe and am a texture junkie - lol. Thanks!

hee I am a texture junky too, I hear ya :) I respect any artist who is bold enough to experiment. :) And I love the design, it's fabulous. In fact, I can definitely see these pieces as a series....perhaps framing them in an interesting way, presenting them as a design series perhaps by either taking a couple or a triad and framing them together, showing a progression, or making a "reverse" or "inverted" frame, using the same design. I think there are certain kinds of images that lend themselves to texture, but this---in my mind---does not because of the starkness of it, the pop art feel, the crisp black and white lines. The texture takes away from that stark feel pop art feel. Have you tried it without the texture? Can you post it? I'd love to see. :)
