Description

the top left is a Tachnid fly and the other is a honey bee. the right shows how much larger the Tachnid fly is. BUT the honey bee's stinger is just as bad. I took these at White Rock Lake Dallas thanks to Enmos Fuji s7000 exposure 1/680-f8-aperture f2.83 -iso 160- focal length 7.8m

You have presented this beautifully Richard. I didn't realise there were carpenter bees. The pictures are clear and laid out excellently. First class Sir! My sincere apologies for taking so long to view this very attractive work. Steve :o)

The differences between the bees reminds me of the "scare" that the USA had with the "invation of the african bee". Hee Hee, if you don't hurt them they won't hurt you... They are not agresive by nature but if you threaten them they will defend themselves... But wouldn't you? It was just funny how the government and media blew it out of proportion... But lovely shots and great detail!
