"The Rose Fairy" -- by romanceworks " The story: My sister Amy, called me the other day, and asked me if I would like to visit mother's grave on her birthday. Mother died a long time ago, but we are continuing to celebrate her birthday. We started out that day by visiting mother's grave. When we arrive to the grave we saw a fress flower bouque in a clay flower-pot. Mika, Amy's daughter has been very suprised by seeing the beutiful flowers. She knew that day was supposed to be her granny's birthday and asked us: 'who brought those beautiful flower to granny?' Amy and I looked at each other with a question mark written all over on our face, but none of them knew how the flower-pot got there. Amy and I told little childhood stories to Mika which she enjoyed very much. It was time to leave, and we are gathered our shoulder bags from the ground. Mika suddenly took out her brush from Amy's bag, and gave it to me. 'Please, brush my hair.' - she said. Amy got embarrased, and asked me: 'Do we suppose to do that next to our mother's grave?' 'I think it is ok to brush Mika's hair here,' - I said -'after all it is our mother's birthday, and I am sure she will be very happy to see her grandaughter beutifying herself.' Amy still haven't been convinced. Then i said: 'I am sure that somewhere in the world people going to celebrate the dead's birthday at the cemetary. So I do not see anything wrong in brushing Mika's hair here.' Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy the image -- and comments are always very very welcome.

Such a beautiful version of the original artwork ... and your story is very touching. My mother died many years ago too and I never thought to celebrate her B-Day. Perhaps now instead of being sad on this day I will be happy that she lived and shared love with me for seventeen years of my life. :o) CC
