It's maybe a problem of balance between the ambient lighting and the light of the sun. Attempt to reduce the part of the ambient lighting

it looks kind of blurry. like the concept though. the thing is that the trees are lacking shadows, they look to flat...you may want to play with the lights a bit

Great procedural work and I do believe that EA is on the right track as far as too much ambience. Not that I am any pro here '-), but I rarely go above 15-20 on the ambience slider. Just my .02 and I would like to see another look at this!
