Hello and welcome to my Renderosity home page.
My name is Tony Holmes and I was born in 1957 in Bradford, England.
Im married (for the second time) and between us we have three sons
and one cute 3 year old granddaughter.BIOI was originally trained as a Technical Illustrator working with pens, ellipse guides and occasionally an airbrush,
no computers back then. Since then I have worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, interface designer, and technical author.
But my great love has always been for fantasy and sci-fi art. Inspired by the likes of Roger Dean, Rodney Mathews,
Tim White and Chris Foss, I dabbled with acrylics, gouache and water colour in my spare time. Occasionally I managed
to come up with some stuff I liked but I was never very prolific.
After a while home computers came along and I got myself a Commodore 64, followed by the 128 then an Amiga
(Deluxe Paint was a great pixel editor) and finally onto the PC. Over the last few years Ive worked with Photoshop
and Painter using a tablet but then I got bitten by the 3D bug. Now all my art is created on the PC with 3D tools.
My other hobby is music. Electronic music to be precise. This is also all done on the PC these days. I use
Cubase SX, Reason (3) and a variety of software synthesizers. One day I may even put some up on the web for
people to listen to, you never know.
Anyway, the name logican12000 was the first web name I used. It was for Yahoo Groups. I had real trouble
getting Yahoo to accept anything based on my real name. So, as I was a Logic Audio user at the time I kept putting
numbers after the word logican until it was accepted. When I joined Renderosity I used the same name.
You can find me on other sites using either logican12000 or -ash-.
Hope you enjoy my art and feel free to IM me, I check the site most days.
Tony

A very serene image, beautifully composed. I was suprised to read that the island was generated, I thought it part of a real photograph at first!
