A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

Somehow B&W always seems to give most images an almost timeless quality, yet color is usually more pleasing to the eyes. For my tastes, in reference to this and yesterday's post, I prefer the B&W version (for the timelessness of it). It gives me a sense that the image could've been taken 5 minutes ago, or 50 years ago! That works well with this type of image. Beautiful work Michel!

Black and white can be beautiful sometimes. I prefer this colorful portrait but opinions may differ.
