I am the Raven, by MysticBlueRavenSitting upon my private perch,Deep with my own world.Reaching into primordial darkness, Seeking truth to the mysteries of life.Soaring through life with a great curiosity,Never being satisfied.Forever seeking the truth that most people fear. For I an strong willed and often transform,Into many forms to gain the knowledge I seek.I am full of mystery and no one will fully understand me.I hide with a world where no one dares to enter,In the shadows, observing everything that surrounds me.Often very quiet, seldom ever let people in my my world.I sometimes show it in my artwork, where it has it own beautySome may say that it is creepy, they just don't understand There is beauty in every thing in life if you truly look for it.For I am Life, the trickster, the messenger, and death,I am many things to different people. For I am the Raven,The master of my own lifeThe keeper of secrets of the soulEverything the hides in darknessYou shall see the Raven

The info about cotton mouth water mocassins is correct but I agree with Traces about this not being a cotton mouth. The pupils indicate a non-poisonous species as does the shape of the head. Venemous snakes have very triangular shaped heads that are wider than the neck and this one doesn't.

EEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! So far this is the first snake I've seen this year in N.C. (Hate snakes - learned the lesson from Eve and Cleopatra didn't do us any favors either.} So, with that in mind, great shot, and thank God the darned thing was going the other way. MUCH HUGS!!!!

Very nice and brave shot Sis! I don't know what kind of snake it is or much of anything about snakes but according to Dr.Geek on the Sci-Fi channel the only way to tell if a snake is poisonous is in the eyes, the ones with the eyes that look like cats eyes are poisonous the head thing is a myth. sorry Leeco.
