Description

This is my first serious attempt at a composed 'still life' type shot. My original intent was to compare the shapes of the can and the cup, with the shapes of their shadows. I chose to make the shadows appear 'straight' (reenforced by including the edge of table at left). It was then rather an afterthought to include the crooked blinds to play with the precarious, 'off balance' look of the actual objects. Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

Wow, excellent pic, great contrasts! Everything is so sharp - you can almost hear the cracker wrapper rustling! :-)

Love the off balance feel & the reflections in the cup.

I agree, those reflections are superior. And that table looks really good too, beautiful composition. If you have a time, post this to photography forum too, guys would love to see this there.

Good piece of technical cleverness. Yup let's comment it on the forum.

The shadows and reflection work well, as does the grain of the table for me...
