Description

Wow, I can't believe it. In all the years I have lived here, I have never seen a Yellow Finch in this yard. Go to the In Laws, and they are swarming over there. They are so beautiful, it's like they don't belong in Minnesota; like they escaped from some tropical jungle. So, this Spring I decided I'd see if I could lure them here - simply by hanging a deal of thistle seeds. And, now would you look at this. Unbelieveable. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! I know... it doesn't take much for me to get excited like this. "It's the little things" I seem to love and appreciate the most. Just had to share my joy with you all ... wow, I can't believe this little guy showed up. :) Maybe he'll bring his little buddies next time and throw a party lol Have a good day .. thanks for stopping by. :) Shari

That's the thing about this photography thing, now we get excited about things we have taken for granted - the light on this is great. Awesome capture. Minnesota huh? I think your weather may be just a bad as ours in New Hampshire... LOL +++

I know how you feel! When I discovered that I had my first birdnest and that it was cardinals, I was ecstatic! He is a cutie! Beautiful shot!

Congrats on your new visitor. Now you should set your sites even higher, like an Ostrich! Sorry, but I don't know what they eat.

Very beautiful photograph. The colors of the bird are incredible. First time I see one of this. We don't have them here in Argentina.
