Made this yesterday...i like this hair version better then the other.
All work done in lightwave.

Are you going for a cartoon or realistic look? It does look good, but if you're after realism I'd suggest using alpha maps (not sure what it's called in Lightwave, I don't use it :) to make the hair strands looks better. Love the model though, really great work!
