Description

I don't know why... but this image puts me in mind of an Edwardian mansion... in the parlor, to be precise. I've been invited for tea... and when the butler answers my knock (huge lion's head doorknocker) he leads me down a maze of richly decorated hallways and into a velvet-draped parlor. Seated at the harpsichord... in black tie and tails... is someone's Uncle. He looks up at me and grins... his two front teeth are missing and have been replaced by ebony piano keys... one sharp... one flat. One black... one white. Only one of his eyes is open... and it flashes like a strobe light. I've left the keys in the ignition... my cell phone is at home in the deep freeze... and I'm pretty sure this is the wrong day.... ;)

UF with border and sig in PSP. Thanks so much for clicking through... and for all the great words you guys have been so kind to leave under my previous stuff. Hugs! Helen :)

To Linda (lbc)... thank you so very much! I've tried to respond to your email several times... but I'm getting permanent fatal errors on your address.

Geez Helen...even the thumb of this one looks good enough to print on a postcard, and give to Mom this sunday!...with your permission, of course ;) Now, as far as your description...I want some of that Canadian hooch, or whatever inspired your always unique imagination!!! Love this...a lot.

Exactly; a very Edwardian fractal even before I read your evocative words. Super image.

The spiral looks good. I like that blue-green tone the most.

Wow that is an interesting story! I am not sure that is what I would have gotten out of the image, but very cool imagination and image! I just love the colors and feeling it brings. Well done!

Beautiful work, as always. The colours match the time period, I think. Love the txtures you've used, especially the pink marble "floor".

I couldn't help but smile, she was certainly a sight for old eyes. She was resplendent in a darkly red silk dress with her hair done just right. Pulled up and held with a pin with just enough loose strands hanging dowon to frame her perfect face. She smiled but seemed surprised to see me sitting there, it had been a long time....but I had never forgot her.
