Description

Terrain: A 4097 Terragen combination of the 'Navajo Lake' DEM and Buzzzzz's 'Southwest Mesas terrains (thanks Jay). Point spacing changed to 30 and the height range adjusted to 0 to 11,500 meters. Post work included resizing, sharpening and oval sun adjustment in Photoshop. Although vegetation is sparse in the high desert, springtime brings a broad range of blossom colors. Is this the region once known as the badlands, where outlaws once hid out. It certainly has that barren feel. The increase in point spacing has achieved the desired fade and dof; and the sky and lighting are excellent.

My favorite, Bob - desert scenes! Very well done strata-like banding on the rocks. My only suggestion would be to increase the glow near the sun, if only for a dramatic effect.

excellent terrain and view - surfaces are a possibly a bit bland in my opinion but probably cos we are used to seeing very intricate surfaces from you bob! great job tho!

You have done this so well, Bob - this image makes me thirsty just looking at it :) I love the tones of the ground (the Surface look awesomely perfect). The sky is ultra realistic and beautiful. V
