Description

Eisenach has more to offer than only the memory of Maarten Luther, it is also this place where the famous composer Johann Sebastian Bach was born (in 1685). This statue is a tribute to him. More information can be found at http://www.let.rug.nl/Linguistics/diversen/bach/eisenach.html and many other websites. Maybe his music makes even the tulips bloom! :) Minolta X-700 (Agfa 100 CTi, 35 mm and cropped) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Marvelous shot! And Johann Sebastian Bach was a genius; his cello suites and violin sonatas and partitas are enduring masterpieces, especially played by Pieter Wispelwey and Nathan Milstein, respectively.

Ah Bach! A truly brilliant man, with lots of children, some of which were also great composers. If anyone's music could make tulips bloom his could. Nice shot, Jan-Carel!
