Lot's of work in this one... it shows. Only minor point is that you still need to work on your explosions... they look a wee bit too feathery to me (IMHO). Otherwise, excellent stuff.

I actually like the directionality that the strokes in the explosions add to them. The only thing is, should you be able to see the starfield through the explosion on the left? Might be something to look into. As far as composition, I think the top half is balanced, and the bottom half is balanced, but they're balanced independently and don't balance each other. Perhaps a composition that isn't as tall? Like, if the planets colliding were just over the horizon . . . or, do you even need the ground? I agree that it's a good grounding effect for the planets, and helps overall, but is it necessary with the amount of attention paid to the planets themselves? Just a few suggestions, beautiful colors and an excellent concept. It really is great, just a few things that could take it to the next level. :)

Wow, awesome pic!!! The terragen part is outstanding and to me is a perfect blend of textures and colors, great POV and lighting. Was kind of pulled in 2 directions, top or bottom. LOL Myself would have left out most of the top, you did an excellent job with the planet on the horizon and leave the 2 smaller moons as is (cut pic off at this point) and added a bit more of a starfield and drop the nebulus clouds down into view. Overall an excellent render, hope you find my suggestions helpful.

Terrain, POV and srf textures are nery nice Lee! IMHO the Explosions look like Feathers. Markal could give you lessons on explosions.

The lower (terragen) part is excellent, really pleasant to see. I prefer this part. About the upper part, I would say that 'too much effects kill the effects'... I don't think that all these planets and (strange) explosions were necessary. I think that it was certainly a long and hard work, but to my opinion your picture should be far better with only the lower part (with the grey planet, the little bright moon and some stars - no more). I agree with Gunglejim for the composition. Keep training, you're on the good way ! ;o)

I agree and desagree with Tiwiwine, I think the explosion effects are not too much, but they doesn't match the style (quite naturalist) of lower part! But to me both parts are excellent in their ways! Your overlay work is terrific ( you have to give some lessons on it), terrain and POV are great too as the light and atmosphere!! Amazing your progress Lee and your style too! In spite you say sometimes that you are trying Pascal or Kidd7 style, your images has a different look! And I don't feel the previous one is rushed!

Again a superb concept with a beautiful POV. The moon over the terrain is perfect this round. Great composition on the upper half, but, perhaps only one or two planets exploding... with some debris coming out from the explosion. I have to say, you've gone where I would not dare, and are coming along wonderfully with your sky effects.

I love the terragen part, Lee. And my postwork sucks, so I know it's not eazy. I give you an A for effort.
