Description

No this is not "I going to married your daughter" followup here. This young man I know when he was a teenager and the yound lady I know too when she was a teenager too. They got married a few months ago and are very happy together. Here you see them in a limo and he gives me a thumbs up which here is a very good thing like saying "ALLLLRIGHT". I know in diff parts of the world it means diff things so that why I expains it to you what the U.S. meaning is. I was just looking over the marry photos I did and I just like this one here[ I like a lot more but I posting this one now] Thanks for the comments and all

Both the middle finger and thumbs up are Roman in origin. The former was given to Hannibal's troops camped before the walls of Rome, while Roman real estate speculators bought and sold the land the Carthaginians camped on. The latter comes from the Gladiatorial games, where thumbs up was positive and meant "spare the loser's life". In much of the rest of the world, however, the same thumbs up means--hemmm, well, hmmmm. Superb pic in form, light, color, composition. Come again, up whose?

lol Jock! You know that game you play with children, when you steal their nose? Then you show it to them...your thumb sticking out between your pointer and middle finger? Well, my Turkish sister 'n' law was SHOCKED when she saw us doing it with our nieces 'n' nephews. Come to find out it means something really filthy over in Turkey. This is a great picture, and your story made me smile, then smile again when I remembered this story. Thanks! V (:
