Description
------------- The Gold Queen
Beneath the crags and battlements of Chia'Khan, the Dragon Kings rule. Under the Dragon Emperor, Nordrage, Lord and Master of the Red Clan, the other Dragon Kings form a ruling council of twelve that have ultimate authority, leaving the Emperor little more than a figurehead. That was the arrangement reached following the challenge levied by King Cyan, the Green King, and fought for by his champion, Colonel Darius Falcone of the 4th Dragon Wing at Dragaard. Over the thirty years since, the Dragon Kings have changed, drifted away from the traditions of their clan's histories.
That was never so true as it was of the Gold clan. Driven by ambition and visions of world conquest, the Gold King fell into the same scheming, hateful, draco-superior attitude that had consumed Nordrage for the better part of eighteen centuries. Once bitter enemies, the Gold and Red clans began to align. Hope for a peaceful coexistence between man and dragon began to fade. With the strongest supporters of the alliance with the mortals being the Green, Blue, Cloud, and Bronze clans. Things seemed upside down indeed. But the power of one individual within the Gold Clan kept hope alive. The Gold Queen, Aurriella, though young for a Queen at just over six hundred years, held to the old ways. She worshipped in secret the ancient God of all Good Dragons, the God who become more of a human than a Dragon God, the Platinum King, Bahamut. And thus she walked the parapets of Chia-Khan, watching and waiting for the right time to move against her husband. She would not have been the first Dragon Queen to do so. And she wouldn't be the last.

This is stunning. Her outfit is to-die-for, and her faraway expression is wonderful... The lighting on her skin is beautiful, btw. Oh, and I'm going to steal those props right out of your picture! :p Very fine work, this really captured me.

Love this character, scene and render, great post work too (although you do great work without any). If I may ask, what kind of lighting are you using here? This is a great 'daylight' lighting look that can be tricky to do in poser.
