Description

This is the second in a series of "bed in a field" renderings that I've been playing with recently. The idea came out of a conversation with one of my professors about iconic images and themes in our art. This was one of hers, but it struck a chord with me, so I've been playing with the idea for a while. Please feel free to give me any comments or suggestions or such, as I'd really love to hear them. Hope you like the image. Thanks.

Man is this ever soooo good. THe atmosphere, ecosystems and the composition (the rule of thirds) has been properly followed. So beautiful. V

Great idea! The atmo & lighting are fantastic. One thing though, the DOF is quite noisy, do you use Vue Infinite? If so, you may want to use the Hybrid DOF instead of raytraced, gets rid of the noise artifacts & renders faster. Or you can use the generated depth map in a paint program and make the DOF effect in postwork.

I have absolutely no problems with noisy DOF since I saw that newspaper photos got them too... it is 'realistic'! Gorgeous scene and idea, and a wonderful mood!

The color mood is very fine. Iagree with garyandcatherine for the atmosphere, and with bruno21 for the DOF. May be the scale between the bed and the trees is no so efficient. Anyway I would have like doing something like your pict. Bravo!
