Still from an animated sequence for a 3M Dental Division polishing head.
Modeled in Carrara. The gumline is a terrian created from scanning a rubber gum cast that was supplied by the client. The terrain was converted into a vertex model for fine manipulation around the edges that meet the teeth. It's still a little jagged, but doesn't really show in the animation.
