did try and use pwsurfaces shaders but for some unknown reason they didn't want to work in this scene

If the pwsurfaces thing didn't work, you wouldn't be able to tell from this image. I like it! For future reference, it's nice to have product credits when you post. Occasionally, people see something in an image that they like and if you have them listed in the credits, it makes it easier for them to track the item(s) down (and purchase them, thus helping the merchants, too.) Also, it helps the merchants see how their products are being used.

Nice choice for armour parts and yep, BtaraKtahn is right about listing what was made by who. You might even get comments from the merchants if the parts were listed. Other than that its a fine image,, well done.
