Description
This started as a cloud experiment. Two volumetric clouds: one infinite slab and one cylinder ate 48 hours of 3Ghz CPU time at 4 rays per pixel. I'd prefer to 16 or higher for a final render, but I don't have the patience. Any way to get decent quality with less effort?
"The two surviving Barracuda gunships of the Jupiter Interdiction wolfpack dove into to the giant world's atmosphere to hide from the Hannibal, but even in the vastness of the cloudy atmosphere, it was just a matter of time before the destroyer hunted them down. After loosing the game of hide-and-seek, the two gunships split up across the bow of the closing vessel, one diving for the crushing depths, one rising into the thin hydrogen sky."
All Bryce but the sig. Spaceships are my own Bryce models.

Nice one!!! I know what you mean. Volumetrics and things eat my Mac too. Patience is a virtue but also a pain when you want to see results!!!!
