Description

I'm afraid I had to cheat with the flames. I tried for ages with various props but gave up because I couldn't get anything to look how I wanted. In the end I had to resort to using some from a 'Fellowship of the Ring' movie image. Though it came out quite well, I normally try to avoid doing much postwork other than a bit of general softening to give my images a slightly painted look. Have any of the wiser heads out there got any suggestions on how to do fire? ... or do I have to wait for Poser 5? :) Any other comments are welcome. Thanks for looking. Wow, this looks really good. The lighting is great as well. In regards to your fire dilemma, I'm yet to see a rendered flame that doesn't look...odd. So I think post work will be required. The flames in this look really good, however, regardless of how you came by them. ;)

Very strong image! - love it! - the fire is fine, As whoopdat said, not many ways to create artificial fire that are any good, so postwork via painting or comping as here work best!

great !!!!! IMO and just to have something to say, you may make her expression a little bit more nervous, wondering if she will find a treasure or an ORK Hord !!

I can't believe your not a pro artist. I think your stuff is great. The fire is well done. I like the lighting but again the entire scene is well contructed; The pose is great and the facial expression suits the moment. You captured the moment well.

Terrific image! The lighting in perfect and good job on the flames. I've had fair success using flames tubes from Paintshop.
