Description

Kinderdijk in the Netherlands is a small village. It is famous about it's shipyards but even more about it's windmills. Nearby Kinderdijk, nearly 20 windmills, all built in the 17th en 18th Century are concentrated.. an unique site. Nowhere else are so many windmills concentrated in such a tiny place. The Kinderdijk windmills have been declared World Inheritage by the United Nations in New York. The windmills are visited by many foreigners every year. Today I was one of the many visitors and I took this picture of just one windmill. I thought the windmill with duck combination would turn out fine. BTW: no fears.. I took many shots today and I think a few aof them are worth posting here some day.

That it did. Very fine indeed. Thanks for sharing it with us. The frame and border make it look like a calender photo, even tho it's much more than that. Wonderful shot.

Fantastic! What a beautiful sight, and the windmill with the duck is super. The lilypads add a distinct softening effect. HUGS!!!
