Description

Back to birds!! This is a quite difficult one. Not only because it is difficult to photograph but, so far, it has also been difficult to classify. I still have not been able to find out which species of hummingbird this one is. If there are any bird experts around here is some more info that may help: I took this photograph in the rain forest around the Arenal volcano in Costa Rica. Apart from the zoological interest I like this photo because, after many many attempts, this is my very first sharp 'hummingbird in flight' picture. Hope you like it too. Let me know whatever you think about it. critiques, comments and advise are welcomed. Photo taken with a Canon D300 (Digital Rebel) ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/500 seg, focal length 300 mm

Fanttica fotograf Luis tiene un impresionante detalle, adem de ser una fotograf muy dificultosa para tomar por la vivacidad de movimientos que tiene el colibr..!!! Me agrada mucho el contraste de colores que tiene.....!!! V

A fantasic capture! Your timing is perfect. We have hummingbirds here too but I've not seen one like this one. I've been trying to photography these myself without much success. Your picture gives me hope.
