Description

Only my second serious Bryce effort which will, time permitting, form a part of a series of similar images exploring the concept of how we relate to the unknown. Typically, we approach the unknown with a sense of fear, but this image is designed to overcome that and allow us to approach the unknown instead with a sense of mystery and wonder. By introducing well known elements of nature (a calm sea, trees and warm sunshine) into an otherwise alien scene, the element of the fear of the unknown is thus displaced. Then we are free to view the image from a peaceful viewpoint and allow the natural sense of curiosity and wonder, which we all possess, to guide our interpretation of what we see. I

Very good for your second Bryce effort, (its the sort of place I need to go to escape my 13 yr old daughter on a moody day!) I would be tempted to add Animation of Sun settin to this to see what wonders the change of light has on its 'reflectives' (if there is such a word)
