Hi, this page is about terragen/landscape and 3D-rendering
BIO
I am exploring cgi since the days with the Commodore C=64 (anybody remember HiEddi?) in the 80's. After that i was working with Amiga500/2000 and DPaint and different raytracing programs like Reflections/Monzoom (german raytracer), Real3D. Unfortunately the Amiga didn't make it and i have to move to PCs. I have found Terragen (v0.8x) some years ago, searching the internet for cgi and landscape rendering. My first impression was that it is rather complicated and not very capable and returned to raytracing. About three years ago, i took another try on it and since then i am really impressed about the quality output.

Love this surfacing! The sky is a bit bland so a more dramatic atmo might jazz this up a bit. Still its a very very nice picture. POV is spot on!

Maybe one can find this sky a very bit bland one, but, technically speaking, I can assure you it's not so easy to get such realistic clouds with Terragen v0,9,43 (actually, the clouds still remain the weakest point in this version of the program). Personally, I'm struck by the extraordinary realism of this picture: the clouds, the strata and the road are particularly successful. Congratulations! But I must confess I'd like to have the opportunity of seeing a more dramatic picture from the same POV too.
