AloooooooHa! Hope everyone is doing fine...getting over the remnants of my cold finally...Still haven't felt well enough to get out so have been working on some of my old Hula pics again. I took this one of a Kumu Hula (Hula Teacher) during the hula festival and thought I would try and do it as a portrait. Eh...I have mixed feelings on this one, but I thought I would post it anyway. I shot this from about 25 ft. away hand held just as he looked up during their prayer. Did quite a bit of PW to get the ugly background out, so here it is. Thanks for you kind comments on my last post, and I hope to get out soon and shoot stuff I really like to shoot...bear with me...Much Aloha to everyone!

Several years ago I saw this young Kumu Hula chant and led his Halau (Hula School) thru a parade during Merrie Monarch Festival. He is good. Excellent. Aloha

LOL I'll bear with you.Are you kidding?Your postwork is wonderful.You are soooo going to have to tell me how you do this.I actually asked someone here how they did something similar,and they wouldn't tell me.So I'm going to call in my MAS card and ask for some pointers,lol.Wonderful work,Dave.The only thing I have an issue with is his eyes.His expression is a bit...umm...overexcited,lol.Other than that,I love it.Aloha,feel better,and have a lovely evening,my friend.-M :^)
