Description

As I was taking these pics, I couldn't help knowtist a lot of youg boys in some of these units. It reminded me that that's the way it probably was 140 years ago and still is today. The Union Army seemed more organized than the Southern Army and the same was probably true back then.

The reinactment must have been so real that you felt you were back in history. It looks like it was quite the production. You got some really good pictures. LOL ans see you soon.

Being a Civil War history buff, I really enjoy these pictures. These re-enactors are very serious about the historical accuracy of their equipment. Being much younger than you, Ray, I'm not sure if this is exactly how it looked 140 years ago, maybe you can confirm...lmao. Great Work!!

Actually this isn't a re-enactment. I just finally got my pictures developed from when I was a young man 140 years ago...lol

Very, very good! To bring back a part of our history is amazing. This is excellent. I, like yourself do remember the Centennial of the War and know that your pictures are exact.(Otherwise it wouldn't be a reenactment, it would be a drama. Thank you for showing us your adventure.

Splendid collage bro. They are all superb, and i particulary like the one with all the smoke...when theyre fireing their guns i assume. And that copper one in the middle is perfect as a center-piece. Have a great day! #:O)

I think I do see you there, very young indeed. I guess you got to be pretty young and in shape when participating in these reenactments. They sure put their heart and souls in their parts. Excellent coverage and shots. Aloha

Great shots ! I love the boy with the eye patch. I am so glad you went. What a fun event. It doesnt look like it was that dusty there as it was last year. I got lots of photos of dust. lol. Paul is enjoying seeing what you post. Last night I showed him the first one and he said " Wow that is fabulous....that is exactly what he would have done and looked like " That was the photo of the guy with the cannon. I will show him this and the last one, when he can sit down at the computer and look around. Excellent work !!! Did you get the history about this actual battle ? The union Army was in fact more organized. This was a pivotal battle in the Civil War, which kept it from going farther West to California which would have happened otherwise. Paul can give you the history when we get together. It is very interesting stuff.

Holy cow! This is truly an amazing collection of fantastic photos. They almost look like frames from a movie. :-) These soldiers certainly do take their re-creations seriously don't they? It all looks so REAL! Amazing photo journalism here Dad...Bravo!! (Love your presentation too and that sepia toned image as your centerpiece.) Wonderful job on this. :-) (((Hugs Dad)))) V
