Description

This Tutorial teaches you how to transform a simple rendered image into a photo realistic one. To make an image look realistic with some postwork is not that complicated and if you read my tutorial you can see/learn how I do that. I'm not saying it's the only possible way to do it, it's just the way I paint. Of course there are many ways to make a photo realistic image and every artist over time will develop its own style, techniques and trick but, what you can learn reading this tutorial is still useful for both beginner and advanced artists. The tutorial is 35 pages long and has a lot of new, easy to learn and useful techniques and many large examples in images. Most of them are at their original size, cropped from a 3000 x 2500 px image so you can see exactly the way I make my artwork. You are welcome to learn my techniques and use them in your future work :) Enjoy! :)

I think this is a photo and you faked this tutorial. I believe this because you can see the arm of the man coming towards the viewer - he is taking a photo of himself. I must admit I am stumped by the original poser render. In position and facial features it matches exactly the final face of the man, but the lighting is different (especially on the eyeball) and his facial hair and chest hair are different. If this is indeed a very cleverly postorked poser rendering, why have you used a tiny brush to individually paint all the hairs on his chest and face, yet the long hair on his head is painted with a larger fuzzier brush? the other thing that bugs me is the background. why have you done so much work bringing this beautiful man to life, and then stuck him in such a boring room? you would never paint something mundane out of your imagination - "I know, i'll show him standing in front of a sloping ceiling! that'll be exciting". The only thing that makes this tutorial mildly convincing is the first picture of the poser render. Tell me how you got his head in exactly the same position as the photo.

sand_tyger : hon, I don't have to explain my self and my work to you of course but since I am a nice person I will do it. I have no doubt it won't help you since you obviously don't realize you make no sense but I'll do it anyways :) 1. "I believe this because you can see the arm of the man coming towards the viewer - he is taking a photo of himself" - you can see the arm of the man coming towards the viewer taking a photo of him self not because this is not a render but because my inspiration for this image was a photo of a man taking a photo of him self so, obviously I posed the poser character in the same position. 2. The lighting is obviously different because I changed it where I wanted to change it during the postwork. 3. "his facial hair and chest hair are different"- of course they are different. That is exactly the purpose of this Tutorial, to show how artists can change things like this through postwork so, yes the hair is different because I painted it and made it look different. 4. Your question about me using different sized brushes makes no sense at all. Why would you even ask why I am using different sized brushes beats me :) Everybody uses different sized brushes, I hope you don't believe the postwork on an image can be done with only one brush from the beginning to the end :) 5. The fact that you don't like the background is not my problem. You don't like it, you don't look at my image, is as simple as that. Maybe I don't like half of your gallery and, in that case, I never look at those images ;) "6. Tell me how you got his head in exactly the same position as the photo."- that is something that anyone that can use Poser the right way can do. You don't really expect me to teach you how to pose your Poser characters in a certain way. Play with them honey until you get the desired pose ;) Have a nice day, Addy :)
