First thing that strikes me is that the composition is just right. Nice verts with the main shafts, and the spiral adds a good right-side balance. Overal great balance to this image.

You've created a very nice textured background here and I like the clouds too. The background really pulls the fractal shape forward and gives it a great feeling of floating and going off into infinity. I like your use of strong colour too. This works very well in contrast to the background.
