I was born in Zimbabwe on 03/06/88. My family, consisting of parents, older brother and sister, migrated to South Africa when I was six months old. We moved back to Zimbabwe six years later, to help my grandparents on their farm - a career change for my father.
After a measly eighteen months we upped sticks and went farming on our own. This led us to Kwekwe, in the heart of Zimbabwe, to farm tobacco! Borrowdale farm which is part of the "Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy" is where we settled . This was the most incredible experience, living with such an abundance of wild life ........... of which we became a part of during the school holidays! Due to the "land redistribution policy" we had no option but to move on.
10th November, 2001 saw us arrive in New Zealand with our former lives packed into a suitcase each, ready to start our new lives. Our first three years were spent on the South Island and I nearly froze!!!!!!! A great employment opportunity for my father had us move up to the North Island. I now live on a farm just outside Matamata aka "Hobbiton" (defrosting).
Yep that should sum it up ha!

I keep telling ya, no matter what subject, nobody matches your compositional insight. And to me, that's where it all really starts, that's the fundamentals. Some may have super macro shots, others incredible wow-factor shots, or the most interesting subjects; you will always have your unsurpassed eye for composition to start with... it's like being miles ahead from the start. Excellent work, Kai!
Zacko
Such an impressive composition buddy. And you really know how to nail them when flying...nail as in photograph them. Dont get any cute ideas you freaks out there, lol. Excellent work indeed! Have a grand day Kai. #:O)

Well, you sure don't see something like this everyday. They're usually no where near colliding into one another. Fantastic photo!! {{VOTE}}

Fine bug shot..but wait, there's more! Which one was on the cell phone and not looking at traffic? This would be a fine shot without the fender bender but wow, that was a plus.

super stuff :-))

This is fantastic! Would make a great post in the humor category too! I wonder though... do these creatures REALLY have accidents as is pictured here? I know that the camera has a way of framing it to seem that way. Not sure either way, but I am sure that this is a superb macro! +++

Beautiful shot and such excellent timing. The tree bark or rocks in the image make the bees look like giant animals over mountains. This is really good work.

This must've been a surreal combination of luck, talent, and a very steady hand. It's truly priceless and I'm gonna add both it and you to my Favorites list.
