I'm taking a guess here... but I'm thinking this is alligator skin. How close am I? I'll bet it stunk to high heaven too. It does make for an awsome photo though. Cool!!! {{VOTE}}

Wow!!!! Love the very brilliant colors and shades of blue, mauve and gray. However the wood "EWWW" has me a little worried, Won't even try to guess, since I know that you will surprise all of us. HUGS!!!

I'm getting the impression it could be something 'ewww' (slimy bit top left looks like a bit of octopus tentacle) but whatever it is this looks great:)Great shot - you must let us know eventually what it is:)
