Description

Another pic for a friend of mine, who said that if she could be any mythological creature she wanted to be a mermaid. She's supposed to be sitting on the rocks in the Golden Gate channel, just by Land's End, where the water in the shallows abruptly becomes that great aqua color. That being the case, the bridge is facing the wrong way. but it looked better this way, so artistic license prevails. Drawn, scanned and colored in Photoshop 6. Enjoy.

I tried it both ways, bent like a tail and bentlike legs at the knee... this way looked better in pencil, more pinupish, but not so much in color... live and learn, I guess.

Another great drawing. Like the blend of photo background with the drawn art.

I like the length of her tail, but I'm with the crowd that doesn't like bends. She's still a beauty, though. The fins around her waist and on her tail are nice accessories. Webbed fingers would look cool, too.
