Jim and I have been inspiring each other quite a bit, and I'm so pleased to be able to break out of my old '000 brush analism' and find something non-descript to aim towards. I still don't know what this painting is about, I suppose it captures the darker shite I've been processing of late and Jim's title suited it really well (*hugs* thanks buddy!).
Thank you as always for viewing and your feedback is most appreciated.

That looks like a femur. Disturbingly brilliant.

it's disturbing in a sense but I really like it good job!

At first glance MEAT (I can live dangerously ;-)) but also PAIN BROKEN BONES. I think JNagyJr has it just right its a femur! Having suffered a thrice-fractured femur myself a couple of years ago, I can tell you thats just what it feels like! Appropriate title and nice work but not on my wall too many memories

Very dark & disturbing Cass but a really compelling image, great use of materials & colour giving your image a real intensity that makes it hard to look away! Good title from Jim too, whatever it's about I think we can all find our own meaning in this. Unsettling maybe but I like it a lot ; )

Hi Cassi, I can deffinatly see a hip ball joint there with a bit of grissel hanging of, a good name might be Road Kill. I realy like this it would have suited an exhibition I was in once called Flesh. Hope your not going to axe murder me for saying all this, but I do like it and it should stir a few comments up out there in the backwaters. Good to see some more work from you.

What the...??!!! You never used to be like this, Cassie! Is this really the artist who painted the heart-warming India's Unicorn?! Well, this certainly busted any preconceptions I may have had left about your work. With this mixed media approach, you've even out-Baconed Bacon for goriness here. Bleeding edge stuff! Would be fascinating to know how you were inspired to make this... Anyway, thanks for astonishing me once again!

hi cassie... :) cool to see some of your work again... well - i'm watching this one for the tenth time i guess... it's fascinating... in some ways weired - or better "violent"... but on the other had there's this red... the red of blood... and life... warm in some ways... love the subtle colouring you did here! it's intense - no question... thanks for sharing and thanks for the possibility to interprete... just to watch and feel... hugehugs

MMMmmm, charred flesh. We usually just burn the outsite to keep the flies off till we get back to the villiage... ;) You and Jim should do an exhibition together with this stuff you guys have been up to. Fabulous!! :-)

The 'bones' of this do surely stand out from the page, with what looks to be something trapped behind the canvas. I do so love it when I can look at an image and 'feel' the texture with my eyes - even though I know the real thing has more texture. I gotta say, Cassie, there's nothing wrong with being brush anal and I do love those images just as much - there's nothing wrong with detail and you sure do have an excellent eye for it! hugs hard

I think you settled on the right way up in the end sweetie, everything flows perfectly this way. Very confrontational stuff, even though the head is facing to the right rather than directly at the viewer. "Spite" seemed the right word in an onomotopoeic sense too, I guess because it's "spit" with an extra e - not only does this thing appear to be spitting blood, but the word itself sounds short, abrupt and almost violent. Very early on I had slight reservations about this one (those blobs of plaster I think) but kept it to myself as I knew you'd finish it off with your usual aplomb and impress me! Thank you so much for being such an education and inspiration in all you do hugest hugs xxx

Well done. Someone broke/cut a nose here.
