Very happy to see a new upload from you, Laura : this flower (unknown to me...) is really beautiful & perfectly captured ! Excellent close-up photography ! Just edited my comment after reading an article in the latest edition of ECN (European Chemical News) -quote : Natural colours mean kids are no longer kinda blue It is a blue day for many under-fives in the UK. Smarties, the small chocolate sweets in a coloured candy shell are, in many households, a useful form of reward for small children who do good things. Tidying up, eating the rest of their meal and sharing have often be rewarded with a Smartie since Smarties were launched in 1937. Now producers NestlRowntree has decided that it should not use brilliant blue, also known as E133 and ammonium, ethyl(4-(p-(ethyl(m-suphobenzyl)amino)-alpha-(o-sulphopbenzylidene)-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidine)(m-sulphobenzyl), hydroxide, inner salt, disodium (o-sulphophenyl)benzylidene)-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene) (m-sulphobenzyl)-, hydroxide, disodium. (lolol !) The firm is replacing a range of other colours, including Quinoline Yellow, Suset Yellow, Ponceau 4R and Carmosine with natural alternatives. But blue is the one that people will miss because NestlRowntree says that there are no naturally occurring colours that are suitable.... -unquote I was immediately thinking about your bright&brilliant blue flower... :~)
