Sorry about the thumbnails not showing up but I don't know what I am doing wrong. My husband is over in Australia so can you please bear with me a little longer I would much appreciate it.
Anyway this image is my second after Bright and Beautiful.
In this image I went more closer, and with the flash I got a lot more reflection on the petals to give a more softer effect.
Also I love that with the image it is not in focus so well, but with the colors being so vibrant it detracts your eye from that fact.
Thankyou for viewing my image.........

Yes, the fact that its out of focus doesnt matter all too much when you have such rich and gorgeous colors. How do you creating thumbs? Are you using PS? Then i suggest you just go to "Save for web" and there you can put in the size, and also slide the quality-slider so that you get the file to be smaller than 15kb. An easy way to have full control over your thumbs. #:O) Have a wonderful weekend!

You definitely have the eye for the composition, and your color sense, of course, is superb... I think it is that pesky depth of field that is keeping your image that one step from greatness. Some day if you have time, set you camera to macro (of course) and try setting the depth to 3 or 4 different positions. At, for example, 2.4 you will get a very tight focus on a small area and a lot of blur in the background ( and sometimes on some extraneous areas in the foreground and sides ). At 8.0 your camera will allow the image to focus at more levels of depth and you would be able to see many of the petals in focus. The trick is to experiment and find the most pleasing focal point while allowing the depth setting to include enough of the rest of the image to form a solid composition... I hope I have helped a little... +++
