Nice work, love the water, and sky looks very nice. Couple suggestions. Try making the colors of your strata closer and more subtle. Thhat will improve realism. Also make the strata thinner. What I always do for strata (when I'm on a pc) is add another layer with a light sandy type surface with very low fractal noise and very low coverage. This helps to diffuse the strata a bit without it really being noticable why. Lastly, try to find a POV (or terrain) that gives a little more details, thinking more about what is possible in real life. It's not so likely that a vertical cliff of thick strata like this would fall into a pond. . .Good effort though, and I look forward to your further experiments

I do love the lighting, very excellent, and the calm water at the bottom. Perfect. Superbe sky, also. Strata is hard to make look realistic, but this is a good effort. Keep up the excellent work and leaps of progress.

Very nice POV and Lighting! About the Strata, just a tip here: Try adding the strata to a vertical layer about 4 or 5 layers down in the tree. Then add other vertical rock layers and then your dirt, sand, loose gravel and then your grass layers. If you would like I might have a surface file laying around if you would want to study one? Just IM me if so.

I think this work is more than excellent. Most poeple here like to see more landscape. More wide view... Maybe it is because in Terragen are the landscape usually not very big. How ever, I think it shold not be. If you are high in the mountains you do not see often wide and far. So in my eyes a stunning work ;)Bravo!!!!!!!!!

This is excellent, Mario. I love the interplay of light and shadow, and your strata is better every day. I understand it's important to be able to produce absolutely realistic landscapes, but then every type of render is artistic in essence, except if you work for some scientific institute. Even though vertical strata is not likely to fall into a pond, this images expresses the intention and state of mind of its creator. In this sense, it's perfect. V

A wonderful canyon, Mario; yes, the strata is a little too bold; excellent suggestions above to rectify this; also, decreasing coverage and increasing noise on the strata layer will help too.
