Description

To my surprise we discover a place where the two anemones, the yellow anemone (Anemone ranunculoides) and the white wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa) appear mixed; I've never seen them mixed since then. As far as I know they do not cross, and I have seen no bastards (many plant-species have bastards between related species). Minolta X-700 (Agfa 100 CTi, 50 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Wow! What a beautiful picture. Those white petaled flowers remind me of May Apples. In Michigan, as a child, we used to go hunting for Morel Mushrooms which would flourish underneath the leaves of the may apples at the heads of streams and rivers in the low land marshes. Ah, but that would take me back to the times when the excitement for the week was tipping the bog.

I know you haven't seen them crossed like that...but I haven't seen them at all.Lovely to see such natural beauty.I think wildflowers are wonderful.LOL I got so excited to see foxgloves growing wild all over Scotland. That's something I never see here. The only think I ever see growing wild is daucus carota and dandelions...and the occasional iris...Thanks for sharing these small miracles.-M :^)
