Description

This image uses Banji translucency and global illumination. I originally did this lantern before Cinema featured GI using a hundred or so lights distributed along the surface of the paper to simulate radiosity. This render eliminates those lights by using Cinema's built in radiosity to generate the secondary light radiating from the paper.

Beautifully done! The lighting and secondary illumination from the lamp look great. Keep it up! =DBZ=

it is a beautiful render no doubt. Just a thought for your consideration, it would look better(IMHO) if the paper texture is less opaque and more translucent. It would give a subtle luminous glow to the lantern

I love the lighting and the texture of the paper itself. Keep up the good work.

Splendid rendering. Looks real. I got to me at once. how does Banji translucency work? It seems to be a nice feature. :)
