Description

This is dedicated to my pain-in-the-ass mother-in-law, who thinks she is so clever. You see, everything she says has an ulterior meaning to it very thinly veiled, yet she thinks she's pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. So I decided to express my frustration artistically in this analogy: This dancer is convinced her veil is thicker than it is and she doesn't think you can see her smiling, just as my MIL doesn't believe anyone can see through her own shenanigans. This is similar to my Farihah commission by Jack Krolak because the idea was conceived at the same time and I'm only just now getting around to it. And while I have not seen my mother-in-law since I moved away from her February 17th of 2006, I still harbor strong, negative feelings toward her, so this piece, no matter how old, will always remain true. Well, enjoy!

Exquisitely done, Chesney! I trust, given time, your resentment will cool. Not that you will grow to like her, but that the negative feels will no longer bother you. Your girl here is a sexy little dancer, if duplicitous. Is she based on some character (other than your MIL)? In any case, Great Job! as ever. Your work is always such a joy!

Thanks! Actually, that rant above there WAS me having cooled off some. You are lucky you did not see me when the fire was stoked on high. It will be a long time before I can calm from what she's done. She reminds me of a Disney character I've seen in passing, though I cannot remember her name. Esmerelda, maybe? The gypsy from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, at any rate. She seems to reminds me of her; the hair and skin and whatnot. Thanks for the comments!

This is gorgeous!!! Well...Chesney...being a guy, I'm not subject to all those hormones that swim around in you female types, but being a guy, my best advice it to let Mothers In-Law, Wives and Girlfriends, have their way in all things (unless it leads to bankruptcy). Remember...you too may be that mother in-law someday!

:O You haven't lived with her! If you stayed with her for a month, you would be changing your philosophy, good sir. Mothers in-law are not all bad. This is a personal affair. Heh, even her own three children hate her. Well, thanks for the comments and kind words!
