Description
Ok, so this image is the compilation of a LONG list of steps, misteps, and direction changes. This image started with me expirementing with a newfound pentax KX (which is a wonderful camera, it is just difficult to use, being fully manual. I'm learning though). I took a lot of pictures, and this was one of a flower on a bush in my yard. I work in a photo lab (at Target) and so I brought the film in and developed it. For reasons I don't remember (but not just that I forgot) I left the film scanner on normal resolution instead of taking it up to full resolution (which makes cleaner pictures but takes 10 times as long). The print came out very crisp on our photo printer, and when I brought it here to my computer it was about the same, but upon zooming in I found a tremendous amount of noise, which I quickly decided was rather interesting, especially when amplified. After amping the noise many times, I began messing with filters, having decided that I was going to try to simulate a hand painted image. And so here I am.
I'm going to try to mess with this in a fractal somehow now.
Please tell me what you think of my images, especially if you have something to improve on. This is how I get better.

This is wonderful! Just love the colours and the painterly effect. I'd like to see more! THanks for sharing.
