Description

This is my second V5I render and my first post in the Vue gallery. I'm normally posting in the Poser gallery, but I want to expand my horizons and my tools. I'm looking for positive feedback and suggestions for improvement. So, if you would be so kind and so inclined, enlighten me. :) Thank you all for taking the time out to look. This image is an excellent work. But it's missing something... something dead... or dead-ish? Ah, you are expanding your horizons! Now you're on the right track! I shall look forward to the peaceful, sunny meadow scene with people frolicking under a rainbow... NOT!

I love the details in the background on the hill and your foliage is excellent. The lighting is good but something a bit more dramatic would make this pop. Some sun rays just peeking over the horizon? Is that possible in Vue? Or maybe a guy walking up to this crypt with a lantern :) Still awesome....I got to get me this program :)

I think your ability to work with VUE so far is absolutely impressive. However, there is something missing in this image and it would have to be focus. Right now the focus is the bldg but it is so drearly cast against the rest of the image it really doesn't stand out and therefore doesn't make the statement you were trying to achieve. I think if something is going to it or coming from it, whether it be a light, person or whatever, it will direct the viewers attention more to the bldg which I think is what you were trying to achieve. Perhaps increasing the shadows more, decreasing the light and placing a spot light in the scene to illuminate an angle of the bldg might help. Good luck and keep up the fine work.

That's really gorgeous work. You might want to try mixing in some noise in the color channel to simulate mossy grunge on the stone. Excellent work on the road!

Wow, did you create this from the ground plane up or was it one of the included scenes? I have vue esprit so I didn't get any included scenes with mine. The smaller Vue program came with more! Go figure these software companies. Great job, nice lighting and excellent placement with the crypt.
